Enlightenment Comes From the Spirit of Christ
Generally, enlightenment pertains to the end of suffering or dissatisfaction. Yet while most would agree on this definition, the manner as to how we achieve enlightenment varies according to different perspectives.
The achievement of enlightenment in Christianity certainly varies from those of non-Biblical interpretations. These non-Biblical interpretations suggest that each one of us are already born with enlightenment. We just need to overcome hindrances to uncover it.
Yet Christianity suggests that for us to be enlightened, God is an essential factor. Only through faith in Christ do we achieve this level of releasing hindrances. This faith is what sets Christianity apart from the rest of non-Biblical views.
